Furniture range in molded chestnut plywood Enor : for AB Forêt.

2018

As a part of a project in collaboration with a craftsman, Antoine Besse, who works with chestnut plywood, I had to design a range of furniture, starting from the mold of the original Ypsit stool. The main issue was to create something new with a mold whose dimension was very restrictive because of two rounded corners. The main purpose of Mr Besse’s business is to create sustainable and ecological products, so I chose to design a portable-lamp that only uses wood wastes. Then together, we made a prototype of a seiza (it is a low-lying bench, more particularly used for meditation - but not only). Moreover, to make it more comfortable I created a trapezoid-shaped magnetised cushion, so that the seiza can be also used without the cushion. The set of nesting coffee tables has the particularity of having a swiveled suspended drawer, that embodies the care for small details of this company.
