I started this graphic project from realistic drawings of tropical animals. Then I started working on the notion of ‘tropism’ : an orientation of an organism that goes in a particular direction, by active movement or by structural alteration.The main pattern had to simplify the basic design, for a more striking visual effect in order to understand in an easier way.As we can see, the pattern is printed on a tablecloth, on one corner the pattern is fully detailed and coloured, then it is gradually simplified and it fades progressively, which gives an erasement impression.The pattern spreads and becomes alterated by the white dishes, the intensity of the hues and the filling varies. On this ceramic crockery, the pattern is both revealed and hidden by the plates . The cup distorts the pattern and breaks the linearity as well as the diffusion of the organised scheme.
